TV shows are almost impossible to have without at least some comedy. But this is the thread for discussion about the shows that make it their purpose to leave the viewers in smiling comatose stitches in their allotted 20 minutes.

    Discuss your favorite comedy shows.

Fawlty Towers is my all time favorite comedy, Seinfeld coming in at a close second. Fawlty Towers imo is the summit of live action comedy achievement. Basil Fawlty is a likeable character, who has to put up with the absurd demands of his demanding and sometimes downright annoying guests who have not heard of common sense or logic. Basil goes near insane and ends up hitting at anyone in his path and smashing all sorts of stuff and then his wife Sybil comes in and cleans up matters easily. Polly and Manuel are good characters, Manuel the stupid and halfwitted servant and Polly the intelligent servant girl. An interesting fact is that the person who plays Polly was married to John Cleese and wrote the show with him.

Ah, Fawlty Towers, still got that on VHS somewhere, that's right, V-v-v, H-h-h, S-s-s, the forgotten media.

It was until last week showing on Prime on Sundays at 4;30... Seeing as theres only 12 episodes of course it doesn't last long, but... Has to be one of if not the greatest comedies of all time. I couldn't even choose a favorite episode though i guess i'd go with Waldorf Salad if i had to pick

heheh, man I loved that, especially at the end, just to see him get to turn the tables.

Yeah the final sequence with the explosion and then him coming back in from the rain is one of the greatest endings in history imo
