The Fireside Girls Empty The Fireside Girls

    Post by Roy42 Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:37 am

Gretchen - The Fireside Girls 60px-Gretchen - Katie - The Fireside Girls 60px-Katie - Adyson - The Fireside Girls 65px-Adyson
Milly - The Fireside Girls 65px-Milly - Holly - The Fireside Girls 80px-Holly - Ginger - The Fireside Girls 48px-Ginger

The Fireside Girls are a girl scouts-esque organisation, with troop 46231 being located in Danville. With Isabella at the head of the troop, the Fireside Girls help Phineas and Ferb with most of their daily activities, several times so they may earn an accomplishment patch, however also they help out for the fun several times. Little is known about each of the Fireside girls, and they are mostly referred to as a whole troop, rather than individually.

Post by ChatterBox Fri Aug 07, 2009 7:06 am

I feel as if they don't have their own identity which is sad even for a cartoon character. I feel as if they are only identified as 'the girl with the red hair band' or 'you know, the one with the glasses' rather than then their names or just seen as 'Isabella's Fireside Girls Troup' which disappoints me to an extent. And since I can't think of anything else to add to my rant I'll just post it and move on with my life.

I did notice that, I had thought for about 3 seconds once that they might have been related.

I have to admit I'm a big fan of Gretchen

Not only does she carry my favorite name for a girl, but she's just so cute. So cute it's in fact a little bit scary...

And I think Stacy and Ginger are similar because both are Asian. Stacey being Japanese and, well, I don't know exactly what Ginger is... I have never heard Stacey mention she has a younger sister

Gretchen - wasn't she the name of the alligator girl in "Camp Lazlo"? Didn't really like that character. (the gator, not the fireside girl) Also, I always seem to get confused with Holly, Ginger and Milly's parts.

Well, I never really noticed Stacy and Ginger looking alike until now, but I see the resemblance. Doubt they are related, but it would be kind of cool if they were.
Also, concerning the Fireside Girls, since we learnt their names online, I always end up mixing the names of Holly and Milly, possibly because of their similar sounding names.
That's about all I can think to say about the characters, since we really don't know very much about them from the show.

Swampy hinted Stacy and Ginger might be sisters. He said "They may or may not. You'll just have to see." But who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.

Can't wait until the Jamboree episode towards the end of October. Maybe we'll know more about the girls and their lives then.

I do hope that we can know more about the Fireside Girls, Isabella's role as the leader, and what they do, etc... maybe even more about the induvidal members such as Gretchen.

I love the fireside girls, they're sooooo cute!My favourite fireside girl is Aydson, she looks like my sister. I highly dislike Gretchen, only because FerbxGretchen makes me feel sick.

On another fan-related wesbite, here is this person who is REALLY pushing Ferb/Gretchen, despite mine and others telling him that this is a pairing that, at least for now, does not look to happen. Go figure.

I like the Fireside Girls and all, don't get me wrong but the lack of individual personality and the fact that they're so obetient... like... robots... is sort of botherseome to me. I also highly dislike Gretchen due to the Ferb/Gretchen shippers. The funny thing is, though, about it is that there's really not much hope for the two of them and the fan girl shippers are all serious about it like it's going to happen! I only do slash pairings for amusement and never claim it's going to happen or anything. I mean, I don't think Gretchen makes quite he adorable little Fireside Girl because is very cute but the Ferb/Gretchen pairing... *sticks out tongue and crinkles up nose*

yeah, but then we would have less room for fanfiction-ing, I like not knowing.

There might be less room for fanfictions on the character pasts, but much more room for pairing stories, because as I've noted my problem with Ferb/Gretchen, they wouldn't be completely interchangeable. I'm trying to give them subtle personalities when they appear in my stories, as at least a start.

It would be better if we lean more about the induvidual members of the group.......would make them more interesting.

Maybe, but I still like to guess and the fireside girls are good for making up your own characters.

I agree. There's plenty of room for character development... and character development makes for a more rewarding story, especially when Phineas and Ferb may run short of interesting ideas for what to do that day as the show wears on.

EDIT: I agree with BigNeerav who was the latest post when I created this post.

You can do that in fanfiction. In the show, however I would, a Chimneyvator mentioned, see some more character development. I believe in Comic-Con 2009 Swampy did say that we will learn more about the Fireside Girls, and hopefully, that will inlcude both as a group as well as the induvual members.

That Jamboree episode could be showing this coming weekend if XDUK can keep their new episodes in order. You'll probably know more about these girls then.

They skipped this episode. Why am I not surprised? Somehow I knew they wouldn't keep their end of the bargain.
