Spa Day
To get into a spa, you have to know people. But while Stacy knows the right person, who knows the right person, who knows the right person… to get into the spa, Candace knows Jeremy, who is helping build homes for the less fortunate. Unfortunately, Phineas and Ferb aren't connected enough, but Phineas knows Ferb, and Ferb knows how to do a seaweed rap. What can they come up with in one day? Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz saves a cute little kitty-kat from the streets, but when it starts activating all of his old inventions, Perry is sent in to see what's going on…to apprehend Doofenshmirtz. Maybe the kitty is a little more trouble than it's worth…? Also, Carl has a terrible secret, one that Heinz wish he didn't know…*shuddder*

Dr coconut! XD . I thought the nickname that Doofy came up with for Monogram was quite clever.

Re: Spa Day
This episode has got to be on my top ten fave episodes list of the WHOLE series (not just of season 2 but the WHOLE series).
"Where 'ya goin'?"
"We're going to the spa."
"Yeah, we're going to get totally emerged in self-endulgence."
"And Mud!"
"Sounds like fun!!"
XD Wow. Also, when Ferb said, "..Okay..." is usually what I sound like when someone else besides me (or the other people who are usually a bit out there) makes a complete idiot out of themselves.
And, I always love it when Dr. D's voice gets even more high and squeaky (a.k.a. when he found "Mr. Fluffypants" or when he thought Perry was a dog though I'm not quite sure that he actually didn't know it was Perry). It's amazing!! "N'aw, you so cuuuute!" (I like to think he's saying that to me except in a more seductive tone). Plus, I liked how Candace sort of pulled a "Hannah Montanna" like how "Miley's" all like ,"Lily, I'm sorry blah, blah, blah, blah, teen drama, toast." And then Stacy says ,"Candace, you're starting to sound like one of those shows we like to make fun of." That was an insult to 'HM' no doubt (or basically anythng else on Disney).
And, Doof, "Don't you people have jobs?" XD He doesn't even really have a job either, so I don't know what he's talking about (unless it's being incredibly awesome but that's different since almost no one gets paid for that which is so unfair because I'd be filthy rich right now if they did).
Plus, I got really jealous of Perry when Doofy fell out of his building with Mr. Fluffypants and he jumped out and grabbed a hold of him (NOTE: with a hug, and I would probably kill to hug Doof. And didn't everyone see Perry in his agent mode? Well, I guess if the most awesome guy in all of history and the coolest looking cat ever fall out of a building I guess it's worth it.
I don't know how to desribe it, it was just to wonderful!! I am SOOOOOOO going to record this when it comes on the Disney channel I have.

Re: Spa Day
I lvoed the episode, but I FELT for Stacy. I've been in that situation too many times... I actually got a little bit upset with Candace for being such an air-head xD But I still love it when she's talking top Stacy, thinking Jeremy can't hear them
And Mr. Fluffypants... I wa sorta surprised he would take in a kitten, after the last time he accidentally saved one. Also, they re-use the plot a little xD That Doofenshmirtz gets everything ruined by a kitten, but at least this time it's just the cat being annoying. I felt a bit sad that he had to give it up, though
@Chatterbox: I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that when Doofenshmirtz said "Don't you people have jobs!?" at the end xD ...The kettle is very black. He doesn't seem to get much out of his current "occupation" either, I'm guessing Charlene's alimony covers most things for him

Re: Spa Day
I really enjoyed this episode. There were several moments where I was laughing uncontrollably. I liked Doofenshmirtz's nicknames for everyone (Perry- Mr. Duckbill Face, Monogram-Monobrow, Carl-Dr. Coconut *snickers*)and the fact that they mocked certain shows which shall remain nameless *coughcoughanyliveshowondisneychannelcough*. The song was also really good as well. I love how they can write songs about absolutely anything and make them fantastic.

Dr. Coconut...oh God I think I'm scarred for life. On the bright side, really good episode. I didn't pick up on the mocking of Disney live action shows until you guys mentioned it (yes I know I'm numb) but now that I get it it's really funny.

I seriously want to know what people are thinking of with that, 'cuz I can't think of anything particularly scarring. Then again, my definition of 'scarring' is rather skewed....Livyrosebud wrote:Dr. Coconut...oh God I think I'm scarred for life.

I am in the same situation. I mean, I haven't really picked up on the joke/innuendo despite how messed up my mind is (thanks to Rocko! ).
tiggertine wrote: Then again, my definition of 'scarring' is rather skewed....
Yeah, I mean, nothing from P+F has scarred me for life.... yet. Other things have in life like my baby sitter had her hernia (spelling?) thingy acting up while at 'Sonic' and hurled inside a plastic cup but that's much different.
Oh, how I desire to be scarred from P+F!!

Re: Spa Day
I think Phineas and Ferb is the only show that can have someone get crushed by the side of a house and generally neglected by her best friend, then refuse an apology. Which in and of itself is all you need to have a great show for me.

Re: Spa Day
^Exactly. If one of my friends tried to make an overemotional dramatic apology to me I would have a very Stacy-like reaction.
(And for the record when I said 'scarred for life' I was overexaggerating, but still.)

Re: Spa Day
This was a good episode. The rap song by Phineas and Ferb was terrific.......in fact, that was the best part of the whole episode. Very well written and done, though I have no idea why I laugh pretty hard everytime I hear the words "Pennsylvania Dutch" in that song. I can't believe that after all that grief Stacey went through, she actually forgave Candace. This episode makes me want to hit a spa and just relax for a few hours, or heck, even for a whole day. Maybe that is what I will do.

Re: Spa Day
The shot at general Disney by Stacy maybe the funniest moment of the entire series! Solid gold! I'm pretty sure that's happened between Miley and Lily, London and Maddie, Raven and Chelsea, etc.
And the rest of the episode was good too. I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone else come up with "Monobrow." LOL

I did not like Ferb's seaweed rap very much. I actually fast forever through it everytime I watch that episode. I recorded it. The credits though that was awesome!!!! BEST CREDITS EVER! Through the whole episode I was wondering what it was that Doofenshmirtz knew about Carl that he wish he did not know then it got to the credits I was laughing so much I scared my youngest cat. Look out here he comes Dr. Coconut!

Hmm.. I didn't see it as a shot to Disney live-action shows, but I can see how it could be percieved that way... it takes courage to make fun of the people who broadcast your show. PaF FTW!

Both my mom and I saw that as a Disney live-action insult but it would take a lot of courage to poke fun at the programs that are broadcasted on the same channel as you, and just in case, I'd rather hang low about that for P+F SAFETY purposes.

Since Live shows are usually the ones making the jokes about other programs I found it refreshing that P and F actually commented about it.

Re: Spa Day
I think Ferb's line in this episode is one of the best ever: "Okay." Genius!
And I loved his seaweed rap. That song was... so random... so awesome....
When I saw Mr. Fluffypants for the first time, I melted. Such a cuuuuuuute kittyyyyyy! But... they can be so evil. I also loved how Stacy told Candace she was starting to sound like one of those TV shows they make fun of.
And Dr. Coconut... oh, goodness, Dr. Coconut. I think I nearly died of laughter (and that's actually entirely possible, it's happened to people before.) Carl's awesomeness factor just went up by at least ten thousand.
Is anybody else wondering what Ferb's 'secret' is?

Re: Spa Day
I too am wondering what that "secret" is...
I don't know if any of you have gotten the "hint" I dropped but the next cat I get, and if it looks like Mr. Fluffy Pants, that'll be his name, hands down. Plus, my first dog I get, with my money, I shall name him 'Salavia' after another cartoon animal who's inredibly awesome.
This has got to be one of the best, if not THE best, episode of season 2. And the song... when it first started I was like ,"Oh great, I've got to put up with something like this for the next 45 seconds?" because the beginning was not very appealing to one whom had never seen the awesome-ness before but then when the "actual" song started I almost died. It was, indeed, truly random, it pretty much matched the back in the day random too so I was pretty excited about that one!
I can't tell if Dooenshmirt'z "nick-naming" excuse thing was authentic or real but it came off rather phony to me and I'm not quite sure what to think, XD. One wouldn't think he stoop down to Perry's level, come up with a pathetic excuse, and think of not so clever things off the top of his head (Monobrow was pretty good though). Doofy, you shall be forgiven since I could never hold a grudge against you because if anyone did, the Earth would surely implode.
I liked the, 'Ah! I'm Painting' reference although it sounded a little better with Mr. Richard O'Brien saying it.
I also, really enjoyed Ferb's '...okay...' line, that has got to be one of my facorite things he has said with the facial expression and tone all added up, not to mention the awkward pause, ah, how I... love... randomly.... pausing in the middle... of sentences!!
Did anyone else think Doof sounded a bit off when he was stuttering on (that was just plain adorable) about how the moon was pretty and somewhere in the mix of it all, he sounded really off?

Re: Spa Day
How does not liking an episode translate into them running out of ideas? Several people I recall weren't fond of Tip of the Day when it first came out, nor did they really think Mom's Birthday was on par with the rest of season 1, but that hardly meant they were running out of ideas (although that was what I thought for about 5 minutes when I heard what Tip of the Day was about).
If they were running out of ideas, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been renewed for a third season, and judging by just the recording sessions that Vincent Martella and Alyson Stoner have put on their YouTubes, I already know they aren't running out of good ideas.

Re: Spa Day
I also think that the notion that the creators of "Phineas and Ferb" are running out of ideas is ludicrus, otherwise, we could not have Season 3, as Roy mentioned. That was the discussion over at the TV.com forums, when some of us were members back then, when the "Tip of the Day" episode aired. The episode, "Spa Day", is one example of how creative the creators can get......this was a well thought-out and executed episode, with good plot lines, and a song that is pretty hard to not like.

The spa idea was-meh ok-but It dosen't compere to the first episiodes-like rollercoaster, Lawngnome bech party ect. For no more bunny busines the X-ray glasses, thet was just sad. Vanescary roughness- I liked It because of Ferb/Vanessa but really, Phineas dosn't do anything at all!Hide and seek was ok-ish but a bit boring. It's like they've stopped building huge things in thier backyard now. I must say I liked season 1 better, but I still like some episoides in season 2 also. Anyway It's just my opinion.

I agree it wasn't as good as some of the episodes that have aired so far, but it was pretty decent, especially the song. The complimentary episode, "No More Bunny Business", was definitely more interesting then "Spa Day", in my opinion.Ferbelle wrote:The spa idea was-meh ok-but It dosen't compere to the first episiodes-like rollercoaster, Lawngnome bech party ect.
