Ah, rock, the genre that goes from old school rock n' roll to stuff like... erm, Coldplay. (Though maybe Coldplay is alternative... or is alternative a form of rock? Who really knows, all this music genre stuff is so complicated...)

Anyways, recently I found this piano rock band that I really like, called Keane. Had never heard of them before until I heard one of their songs somewhere, and I liked it, so I looked it up on YouTube (which is what I usually do when I heard songs that sound cool), and... well, yeah.

I love Rock and Roll, and listen to that a lot in my free time, especially from the 1980s and the 1990s. I could name the bands that I listen to, bit it would be quite a list. The group "Cold Play" is a great band. I also listen to old school like "Bon Jovi", which I am a HUGE fan of.

Anyone else have favorite rock bands that they listen to?

Coldplay and Bon Jovi, I agree, are incredible.

My main two artists are The Offspring and Linkin Park.

Offspring and Likin Park are very good bands, Roy. I do listen to them from time to time when there is not much else to listen to. I enjoy thier styles a lot. I am still very much into the "old school" rock from the 80s, 90s and even from earlie periods, more than I am today's rock music.

Erm...well Coldplay is judged as Pop or soft rock over here...Sad..I like Coldplay....they have quite powerful lyrics.

Im not a fan of a large range of music..but I do like Nirvana..I suppose it could be classed here?

Some of Cold Play's songs are great to listen to.......my favorite being "In My Place". The intro to that song is pretty cool, and I don't think it is hard to do.

My personal favourite is "Clocks". Especially when they play it in full in concert.
