Chez Platypus
All the action takes place in the fancy, trendy, delicious, "Chez Platypus", a new platypus themed restaurant that Phineas and Ferb create after a less than satisfying night at a bistro that left the boys hungry for more, while Jeremy and Candace, finally on for a night of romance, meet their match: The velvet rope. Doofenshmirtz is the only threat to this night of romance, as he plans to activate a satellite beam to rid the world of love…if his blind date goes badly, of course.

Re: Chez Platypus
Hmm good episode. The ending was pretty lame but what one predicted. The plot, script etc etc was all on par or just above and both plots were good.

I recall making an episode idea very vaguely like this, centuries ago. xD
But....what?! They aired a new episode while I was gone? Jeesh.

Re: Chez Platypus
I wasn't as impressed by this episode as I thought I would be by it's name. The ending actually totally caught me off guard though - so sad for poor Doof. It actually didn't follow the same format as the other episodes - kinda different. I believe my favorite part of the episode besides the sweet song at the end was Perry getting his foot stuck in the door. "You may notice I reinforced the locks, but... you know... not the door" I thought Doof and the evil chic made a nice pair! Candace and Jeremy stuff was cute too though.
I want to go to a platypus-themed restaurant. XD

Ooh, I'm still intrigued. If it's on YouTube, I'll most certainly have to watch it. *hits self for being gone so long*

Re: Chez Platypus
I thought Doofy and that evil girl made a nice pair too. Sad ending... Hmm yes my favorite bit was the door sequence too. Great classic Doofy-Perry scene. And yeah i noticed the formula was a bit different in this episode... Perhaps character is more sacred than formula? For instance, did anyone notice that Jeremy ASKED CANDACE OUT? I mean that's taking a big step out of the usual formula... so... it is possible it could advance to a Kim/Ron. Overall i liked the episode... although the restaurant was sort of just a background piece with little character or part in the episode apart from a setting... i imagined it would have MORE of a Perry feel to it

Well, they had to do something to drive off the Perryshmirtz shippers for a while. xD

Re: Chez Platypus
I liked how the evil girl mentioned the thing about the weirdos. It annoys me when people think all evil people are weird. They're not. Both good and evil people can be normal or weird. So it was good to see them both agreeing on that point.

Re: Chez Platypus
Back on episodic topic, seeing Phineas and Ferb at the start of the episode when they were in different outfits for the dinner was cool as well, gave off more of a mature feel to it.

I loved that for once, it was Phineas who made a bad pun. That was probably my favorite part of the episode.

i loved the opening gag. So true. For the price of a few morsels at a fancy restaurant you could buy a couple of meat pies a steak and some sandwiches easy

Yeah, that's what I thought when I first watched this. Platypus-themed restaurant... Perry having to sit on display as a mascot... sounds familiar.
And I remember Roy didn't think the idea sounded like a real episode of the show.
The ending of this one made me want to scream. Doofy and his evil girlfriend were soooooo cute! Their entire song was so sweet... awwwww. And then that darn satellite had to ruin it all!
Actually, when I first saw the satellite falling, I thought at first that it would crash into the house and make true Candace's "I'm in charge" condition!

Silly Roy. Trix are for kids! Who knows, maybe they really do read episode ideas.
Eh, the ending really didn't surprise me at all, as Doofy's constantly having stuff pulled on him anyway. He'll get over it.....eventually...*blows hard into tissue*
But the little JeremyxCandace bit was nice. :]

This was definitely a Perry-centered episode and it wa sa good one. I definitely enjoyed this episode a lot.Atomius wrote:I thought Doofy and that evil girl made a nice pair too. Sad ending... Re: Chez Platypus
It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thought the ending was a bit of a heartbreak. Sure, Doof is an evil guy, but having his love walk out on him out of nowhere is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
On the bright side, Candace and Jermay are progressing fast for a cartoon. Wasn't it just last season when she couldn't talk to him on the phone? Now, they're going on dates?! I wish I had that kind of luck...

Re: Chez Platypus
I missed the middle part of the episode because my parents made me eat breakfast (which I downed in a record 5 minutes before running back to the TV) but what I saw was good. I felt horrible for Doofy at the end too. That's rough. He just can't catch a break, can he?

Re: Chez Platypus
Yeah.......for some time there, I thought Doofy finally found happiness in his life........oh well. As for Candace and Jeremy......I think they are progressing well, and maybe this is the direction that the creators of the show want to go with these two.ChimneyVator wrote:It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thought the ending was a bit of a heartbreak. Re: Chez Platypus
Well I get the feeling I'm the only one who had no complaints about the ending, I mean even if I had known that outcome would be produced, I'd still have done it, I guess I'm the only one here who's heartless enough though.

Re: Chez Platypus
I guess Doof got what he was asking for, I mean it was he who created the beam to ruin the love life of everybody else in the Tri-State area, I suppose it's Karma catching up with him here, but I still thought it was kinda sad. (Funny too, but sad.)

What happened to you thinking all his songs were corny?
