    First topic message reminder :

When an early end to their daily project causes Phineas and Ferb to mistake an egg for Perry's, the boys use all their technological knowhow to help hatch the new part of the family. However Candace has different plans for the egg, as a nature show brings her to be the one to convince Phineas and Ferb that the newborn will need a real mother. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz is doing all he can to convince Perry that his latest scheme really is evil.

I'd have to agree. This and "Attack of the 50-Foot Candace" (and its rather anvilicious message about inner beauty) are my least favorite from season 2. I wasn't a big fan of the subplot, either. What's the point of having Perry the Platypus if Doofy is so useless as to not even need one? I'd LOVE to watch an episode (but only one or two episodes) where Perry fights someone much more competent than him...

I agree......the subplots between Doofenschmirtz and Perry are only interesting if the two are battling each other, as they did in many of the episodes of Season 1. Doofenschmirtz now being "blah" with his plans makes this particular sublot not interesting. I mean, the subplot in this story was corny. There was no action to make this subplot interesting. I know there wasn't any action in "Chez Platypus", but the whole Doofy romance part made up for that, so it wasn't a big deal.

Hmm... I liked Tip of the Day. When i said Filler i meant it was a regular episode, not a glorious sight to behold episode, and that we wouldn't be quoting or referencing it to such a degree as other eps. In other words i didn't HATE it relative to say hannah montana or reality tv, or even the simpsons or south park, i thought it was mediocre compared with it's fellow season two eps. I thought Attack of the 50 Foot Sister was alright, but i agree the moral... IMo the moral in that ep was too pushed and obvious. But back ot, PLAE IMO was the worst ep so far. Keeping in mind it is still far above most stuff on tv, so it's not like i've turned traitor to the show or anything. All shows have low points or they'd be absolutely staright and level, which is impossible. I bet Rocko, Bounty Hamster and Family Guy have low points too and i'm sure Dan and Swampy wouldn't think every episode they wrote was going to top the last or something.

My main issue aside from the contradictory message which seemed out of place in PaF, was the sheer lack of any real action of the usual type- i.e Doofy/Perry battles and evil schemes and Candace busting her brothers,. but a few episodes scattered throughout normalcy with some variations is common so i'd let that pass. I'm not saying i hate the episode as such, just relative to other episodes.

I appreciated the writing. I loved the hilarity of the mom suit. The episode entertained me. I was fully rewarded for tuning in to Youtube that day.

But i just happen to think it's relatively a lesser episode to other ones.

Oh, come on, why can't I be in the Intelligent People Room? I do love every episode... okay, well maybe I don't love "Oil on Candace", just like it... so fine, I'll content myself with the vestibule to the Intelligent People Room. Hmph.

Oh, and well, your back was turned when I shot you with the beam, so I figured I could get away with it.

Anyways, personally, I don't ever want to see Perry battle someone more competent than Doofy, nor did I dislike that he and Perry never actually fought. Part of what I love about those two is that they pretty much mock the overdone, cliched, stereotypical bad guy and hero. It's pure dry humour when Perry won't fight Doofenshmirtz because he deems his plans too ridiculous... pure dry humor, and pure brilliance. Very Happy

Compared to other episodes in Season 2, this one was pretty bad. This wasn't the best episode per say. I only hope, at least for thier sake, that they do not make any mroe episodes like this.

Yeah, I was only referring to this episode, and what, er, CV I think it was, said about it.

You do realise (yeah, I'm keeping that rest-of-the-world-English spelling beam) that you've said that same thing at least five times now?

Yeah. I have nothing more to say except that, well, I hope the next episode that airs this weekend is a good one. Hopefully, we won't see Candance wearing a "mommy suit" anymore.

Yup. Although there is a resemblance to her wearing the same outfit in the Season 1 episode "Toy to the World", when she worked for the store that sells toys from the Har-D-Har Toy Company.

I thought the main plot was "ok" at best, and thought the song was great. The Perry/Dr. D subplot annoyed me. Insulting a whale's mac-n-cheese recipe!? This had me worried that all of Dr. D's evil plots would go downhill from here. Yikes.

Neerav, I get that you didn't find this episode that appealing, in fact, let's not dance around the subject, everyone on the forum gets it. Why? Because you've stated it multiple times in the thread. I understand you want to encourage activity, but you're starting to mildy irritate me with your constant reiteration of facts that we grasped within the first post of a thread.

Yeah I know.......bah. This forum has gotten slow, but I digress. I do admit, I found Candace wearing the platypus costume to be a bit ackward, as she did in "Toy to the World".......and her sitting on that egg made it even more so. I was really scratching my head about that.
