Allow me to kick off this board by starting the first thread. Guitar Hero/Rock Band Grin

(Sorry, but some of the smileys here are scaring me just a little, so I brought in a different one.)

Since these two games are so similar, I thought I'd just group them together. Besides, there seems to be a constant debate about which one is the better game.

Personally, I like Rock Band, because I think the instruments are easier to use. Although I have to admit Guitar Hero usually has better songs. My brother is a die-hard Guitar Hero advocate, though.

I kind of suck at these games... I can do medium, but not past that. My pinky can't reach the stupid orange button! Razz

I wouldn't mind either of them, but I should give you some advice: It's not about reaching it with the pinky, you'll have to start moving your hand. I can reach it with my pinky, but it's still a lot easier to move your hand, especially when you have to hit green, orange, green, orange.

Personal Best: Guitar Hero: World Tour (the only one I have, like hell I'm paying the truckload of money for anything else), 5 Starred "Schism" on Expert.

I can play Through the Fire and Flames on Medium decently. I consider that an accomplishment. xD

Yeah, GH has good songs (DRAGONFORCEEEE) but so does RB, at times. (And right now, I can't get Blitzkrieg Bop out of my head.)

Haha, I really need a job so I can buy these games and have a little skill at them. My best right now is medium on the guitar (and in Rock Band - easy on everything else - I suck it up on the drums. XD) But I love to play even when I suck. A tad addicting perhaps? I think so...

It is addicting as soon as you can do hard and/or expert on a song you really love, because doing almost/all of the notes perfectly really does simulate the rockstar feel, of course if you're ever going to do it in front of people, you really need to be prepared for how stupid you'll look doing some of the "rockstar" things that became natural.
