    First topic message reminder :

    Phineas and Isabella are one of the top pairings in the entire show, they are a romantic pairing, however one that is supposed to be up to the imagination to decide on how they will get together, since only Isabella has a crush on Phineas, while he sees her as a friend. As such, there are more fan creations about this one pairing than any other pairing of the show.

    Share your thoughts on this pairing.

    It may have been a silly take on those super heroe shows.
    It still was in the show, long as its in the show, should count as canon.
    Besides, its not like they did some thing to erase people's memories so none of it happened.
    So as said, should count still.

    I like to think that it counts. Even if it was just going along with a superhero story, we still got some action between them. And this looks promising. After all, doesn't the girl who is rescued end up being the girlfriend of the hero?

    I think if Phineas and Isabella get together (other than them getting married in the future) it's going to be the movie or the last episode (or they may well be the same thing). They originally intended Phineas, Ferb, and their friends to be 9 I think. Then they changed it to "under 15". I wonder if they are going to make a new official age that's older and more suitable than this...sometimes they seem way older than nine. Like in "The Beak" they both have cell phones and are going in the middle of down town by themselves. I know this is a show that doesnt follow logic too well (with the inventions and Perry, ect.) but I still find it odd for 9 year olds to be doing all the things they do.

    I disagree. In my school, we had some pretty ''serious'' couples in the fourth/fifth grade,[yes, they went on movie dates, I think skating one time, pretty sure they kissed...] it was one of those school years, I'm not sure which one.
    Everybody knew they were dating, it lasted a long time.
    So when people say nine- year- olds can't date, I like to think: ''My fourth grade class thought they could.''

    It's the idyllic vision of children that caused so much controversy to be kicked up at South Park before people grew balls about it, but the real reason that some people don't accept that a 9-year-old can date is because dating implies that the two people feel something for one another and nine years old is nowhere near old enough for anyone to even know what any feeling like that really means or to even have them.

    Even someone in their late teens who would actually date regularly wouldn't know; you date someone because you have a crush on them or you think you love them and people who know that then don't accept prepubescents dating because they have no idea what love is and won't for at least another 10 years.

    It's not just "because they're very young", it's because they have no idea what they're actually doing or the significance of it.

    Well said Roy. His response above is why I personally am happy with the status quo when it comes to Phineas and Isabella as a couple.

    I think they would make a good couple if they where hypothetically teens or older and there's definitely a bond there between the two. But I still like their relationship as it stands in the show. Actually I find Isabella's attempts to woo Phineas and his obliviousness quite amusing.
