Ferb - Page 3 Empty Ferb

    Post by Roy42 Wed Mar 04, 2009 9:49 am

    First topic message reminder :

Ferb is one of the main characters of the show, hence his name in the title of the show. In comparison to his step-brother Phineas, or anyone, or even when on his own, Ferb is fairly quiet, he is a man of action, who firmly believes that actions speak louder than words, though when he does, his cool, calm British accent only accentuates the intelligent and deep thoughts that emerge from his mouth. Despite his not saying much, he always proves that he cares for Phineas as he always is keen to put his hands to work on the latest plan for enhanced awesomeness. Ferb has 2 siblings, loving parents, the same close circle of friends as Phineas and the same fame that accompanies Phineas from the Tri-State area.

Share your thoughts on this character.

Oh my! I cannot imagine Ferb ever wearing those clothes! Oh dear!

Anyways, after watching the two new episodes ("Thaddeus and Thor" and "DePlane! DePlane!"), especially the first episode, in additon to the "The Chronicles of Meap", I have really come to like Ferb as a character.......I like that the creators and making a better use of him as a character in the episodes, and I hope that they continue that trend.

I'll comment on those just as soon as I've watched the episodes and made respective threads for them. Sounds interesting though.

You... you can't?! You've never envisioned Ferb in shirts decorated with epic, or party dresses, or slightly revealing togas?

    This is... shocking.

Or plainly stating that I am awesome? I agree, quite shocking. I do indeed find Ferb to evolve more and more in every episode, another unique and conceptually brilliant element, in that while Ferb displays so much character in every episode, by only letting one or two lines out every time, his personality, well it's like he's just got two, a physical personality and a vocal personality. So while he's already got one fully expanded personality on display every episode, more and more of the other one is let out over time and that is something no one else can achieve.

Let's just say.......well, Ferb looks a bit........well, I don't know what to say.......I guess he would look.......I can't get myself to say it knowing that it may not be appropriate to say on here. All I can say is that just imagine what is WORSE than what eeemeee previously mentioned.

Nah, I won't say it, but I will say this.......I am REALLY starting to like Ferb's character. I think, compared to Season 1, we are starting to see the "true essence" of who Ferb really is, especailly since he is doing more and his lines that he speaks are getting sharper (and funnier). I am glad they are making more of Ferb in Season 2 than they are in Season 1. I hope they keep it up.

I think the writers need to make more use of Ferb's mysteriousness. We need to see more of Ferb's weirdness and possible insanity. I like how he mauled Candace, builds stuff for the ladies, and made some modifications that weren't "street legal". For juxtaposition comedy, there should be weirder things Ferb does. I was half-expecting this gag in Lights, Camera, Candance.

Producer: With thirty-five million hits, they could be in diapers for all I care.
    Phineas: Actually,
*Ferb pulls down his pants, revealing a diaper*

That would've been hilarious simply because of the weird light it puts Ferb in.

I find that because of a certain fanfic, plus the fact that it just is not funny, that particular choice of gag couldn't have been worse.

The thing about Ferb is there is no mystery, everything that can be said, is said about him right off the bat in Rollercoaster: He doesn't talk much, he's a man of action, he's British. Those three lay every part of the foundation, anything that is Ferb in later episodes is a branch of those 3 original concepts of Ferb, he's not mysterious, he's every bit as unique as Phineas, he's not weird either, if he's weird than you're effectively saying that every other character and the entire show itself is weird.

I kinda disagree with you both here.

I don't think Ferb is at all weird or insane (not any more so than any other character on the show), but I don't think those three facts about him are all there is to him, either. Ferb, I think, still has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, which he'll show off when he wants to.

The "tricks up his sleeve" came under my classification of "Man of Action", just so you know. As in, actions speak louder than words, etc.

Sure, Ferb is a character who we don't know much about, but in a way, I think that is a good thing. Then agaain, there might be a lot of things about Ferb that we don't know about that maybe it is better not to be known so it can make his character more interesting.

i think that if they were to tell us more things about ferb, then they should do it subtly. And, it's not like we should know a whole bucket load of information about him. In my opinion, Ferb is one of those characters who is very different from the rest of the cast, and personally i believe it should stay that way. Ferb is different, which makes him cool, and he's a man of action, which makes him awesome.

I agree as well, and to add to what LillyCrystal already mentioned, we don't know much about Ferb, and I think knowing more about him than we should know now might now make his character looks as great. Over at at Phineas and Ferb Wikia, there is a thread going on in which peopple are speculating on Ferb's mother and Phineas's real dad, and, unless it is related to any of the episodes, I see no point in all this speculation, expect its use in fanfiction stories.

Ferb.......and Isabella? I don't think it will happen, but then again, we don't really know. Isabella HAS an interest in Ferb mainly as a friend, but her apparent love interest is Phineas, not Ferb. I know there might be those that might start to be Ferb/Isabella shippers, but I can tell you now from what I have seen of the two characters up to this point in time, Ferb and Isabella are NOT compatible.......sorry, but this is a pairing that I don't think will ever happen.

You know… that subject was probably never going to have gotten brought up in this forum.

No one had noted it at all, beyond the joke from PaF's Quantum Boogaloo, no one had expressed interest in the pairing on this forum, nothing to do with the pairing was even present on this forum.

So, why did you post that here, as opposed to a blog post, which it would be much better suited for?
