I like Kirby, for two reasons:

    1. When you fall off the platform, you aren't completely screwed, because you can sort of fly back up. Also, you can use the flying powers to get that... magical glowing ball thing, that one that gives you special powers.

    2. I take great joy in sucking people up and absorbing their powers. Super Smash Bros. Series Grin

Just like a friend of mine! =D She always mains Kirby for:

    1. Its cuteness
    2. Its... sucking prowess?
    3. Reasons I can't comprehend.

Should anyone wish to fight me, my friend code is in my signature.

I have wanted to write a review/retrospective on the series for quite some time now, just never got around to it, since it would take way too long, but I don't think it is the best game for the Wii, especially Brawl. While it is my top game of 2008, it had so many faults that the nostalgia and ability to take Bowser and finally throw Mario headlong into Peach and kill them both, or recreate any scenario that would otherwise never happen are the only reasons that I got past it.

That and the fact that when I got it I played the 10 hours of single player right at the start and got all the characters, so I didn't have to wait to use everyone.

Yes, it's so easy to get everyone, even I could do it in a week. Razz Maybe they did that for the more casual players, I mean, I could never get aroud getting Ness and Luigi in the first game (you should have an idea of how I play by now), then it took me months in Melee. Another factor could be that I got the game during summer.

Really? In all of the games I just got them all in 24 hours. Took quite a bit of overnight commitment for me and my friends in Melee to get there, but we did it.

Do you mean you couldn't figure out how to get them, or you couldn't meet the requirements? (in the original one)

Meh, I'm not a good gamer, that's all. I still get beat up by the friend I mentioned earlier (provided she teams up with her sister), and sometimes my cousin, and etc...

Yup. Super Smash Brothers is a great game and darn fun to play. To say it is the "second best" is gonna cost you, LC.

Thank you, Neerav, that would be an exact reiteration of what I had just said, in fact, not that it would be, it is.

In any case, I do main Claus, I only actually put R.O.B on my card because I didn't want to put Ness as the secondary character and have people think I only use them. The main problem is it won't let me log in to the site that made the card for me, so I can't change the card anymore.

Animal Crossing took about half of my childhood. It, was however, time well wasted. I found every fossil and nearly every fish and bug! I even had the Chirstmas furniture set!

I am a part of a site that is really big on SSB, we've had long running debates on whether Melee is better than Brawl or not, any thoughts? (You don't want to hear mine off the bat, trust me, you don't have all night)

I really got more into Melee than I did Brawl. It took me longer to get all of the characters, etc. They ruined Mario in Brawl - I always played as him in 64 and Melee, then they added that stupid water squirty thing and now I hate him. Took my favorite ^B move and turned it into squirty waterness. Blah. Now I play as MetaKnight on Brawl (ROCK as Metaknight). I love the graphics and some of the hard-core-ness of Brawl, and the story mode was sweet at first (though to be honest it kind of got old fast... did I beat it? I forget.) And I still haven't unlocked one character - Jigglypuff I think. Maybe because I put such value in finally getting Melee for GCN but I just kind of knew I was going to get Brawl, I kind of enjoy playing Melee a little more (or maybe that's just because I really miss playing as Mario sometimes... Sad.)

Well it just doesn't seem to add enough new things to make you forget that they've taken out some of the great things and toned some of the other things down, for example.

    1. Many new characters, but some characters are gone and (like Mario) others have been altered.

    2. Online was added, but because of Nintendo's "system", it's severely broken.

    3. All of the bonus stuff in the vault is practically useless and just fills up space in the game that could have been used to maybe add some more characters.

    4. The adventure mode is just messed up, plus the other single player modes like target test, home run, multi-man brawl, they are all useless too, because all of the characters can be unlocked in Adventure.

    I... love... Claus!!!

It's the reason I haven't been in any forums for such a long time! ^_^

Anyways, 'tis also the character I main nowadays (for obvious reasons stated above), but before him they were (in no particular order):

    Lucario
    Meta Knight
    Snake
    Ike
Ganondork (yes, the typo was obviously intended)
... I don't remember anything else for now.

Though Bowser gets an honorary for being one of my two mains in Melee (the other one being Roy, but my cousin usually uses him), I just didn't use him as much in Brawl.
